Job Description:
Candidate will join the Communications Engineering Unit (CEU) team responsible for design, configuration, testing, and implementation of the VoIP and VTC infrastructure.
The candidate will join a team of network engineers supporting the redesign of the current network, implementing VoIP, and evaluating new technology. Environment is fast paced, multi-contractor, and disciplined with strong configuration management controls, policies, and procedures.
The candidate will support the new effort to integrate the Cisco VoIP solution and the newly deployed Microsoft Lync Solution. Additionally the customer is currently piloting a new VoIP solution that will eventually replace the customers old digital phones and PBX enterprise wide. The candidate will be part of the design team to design, test, and implement this new VoIP solution.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 - 8 years of experience as a Network Engineer.
Minimum of 3 - 5 years VoIP design and implementation experience.
This position will require access to classified information; therefore, applicants must possess a Secret clearance issued by the U.S. Government.
Candidate must be a self-starter who is able to work with minimal supervision.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Computer Science or Information Systems)
CISCO certifications (preferably CCVP or CCNP or higher)
VoIP design and implementation experience
Avaya VoIP experience
